Fontana 2024 Grape|Sumoll BlancThe only white Antonio makes as a direct press, it shows a rounded, textural mouthfeel that is typical of the grape. Sherbert y lemon, Galia melon, a savoury, hay like quality and a saline undertone, leading to green almond bitters in the finish. Following a more challenging 2023, it's great to see Fontana back on this broad, fleshy, well balanced sort of form. A direct press of 100% Falanghina planted over rocky limestone at 550 metres of elevation.
Tasting so good already

Despite the age of the vines
fresh acidity that cuts it all through
showing the quality potential of this highly accomplished ancestral method sparkler
The only white Antonio makes as a direct-press
