Vintage Child's Silver Thimble By Henry Griffith and Sons, Birmingham. DachshundThis cute vintage silver thimble was made in Birmingham by Henry Griffiths & Sons, and is the perfect size for a first thimble. The earliest dated child's thimble comes from the 12th or 13th Century and was found near Salisbury. This thimble is prettily decorated with a repeated dot and starflower design. It is in good condition and clearly stamped with the maker's name. It has obviously been treasured for many years. A lovely gift for a keen needle
