Introduced in 1961 as a complete replacement for the Les Paul, the new design was thought to be a more modern solidbody guitar, with sleek beveled edges and two sharp cutaways. roughly hogged out for Humbuckers and fitted with custom made mirror scratch plate

Style on a console

basically a Duo-Sonic with the new "Dynamic Vibrato" tailpiece and a floating bridge

but otherwise sound and full or potential

As you would expect it has the odd blemish/mark here and there but is structurally perfect and sounds amazing

presumably in the 70’s as it now exhibits some rather fetching lacquer checking) Unfortunately the Serial number on the back of the headstock has been sanded down for the refinish and is just about visible with a black light
