Ghost Mask Coast SalishThis Ghost Mask was hand carved by Kwakwaka'wakw artist Gilbert Dawson. It has been carved from red cedar, painted in black, red, and white acrylic, and trimmed with cedar bark. The mask including the cedar bark measures approximately 15 inches or 38 centimeters wide, 11 inches or 28 centimeters high, and 3 3 4 inches or 9 1 2 centimeters deep. The last image shows the artist holding the mask.
